Tests 😓

Last week we started another test! It was really complicated. I wasn't really ready but I knew our teacher had prepared us for our test. So I didn't have anything to worry about. We already sat our Vocabulary, Reading and Writing tests. I think I did well. Next to come is Maths. Something that I'm alright at. But fingers crossed that I pass.

The Duffy Play 📑

On Tuesday we had our first ever Duffy Play! I've always loved the Duffy Play because they always inspire us to become better readers in the future. The play was about Millicent a superhero from another planet called Zyndax helping Duffy to save global warming. My favourite actor was Duffy because he was really inspirational throughout the whole show. But I have to say I really enjoyed the show!

First Ever Tabloids 🎉

Yesterday, we spent our whole afternoon doing tabloids. Although tabloids wasn't the same, as it use to be with our normal groups instead we were split into our houses. My whole school was separated into their houses, then we started our tabloids. Although the activities were weird without our normal groups it was fun as well...

It's Time To Start Thinking🤔

On Wednesday we started school again for 2017!! It was really nice seeing all my friends and even the teachers. Once the bell rang everyone ran in front of Room 1 waiting for Mrs Vickers to arrive. It was surprising to see only half of the students at school. Once Mrs Vickers came she had a quick talk to us about the holidays and looking after our school. Afterwards we slowly made our way back to class to start our learning.

Testing Is Finally Over!!! 😌

Today is the day where assessments are all over! After 7 weeks of thinking and focusing their is now nothing to worry about. Since we only have 3 more weeks of school their is other things to think about like Athletics, Saint Kent's Day, Cultural Groups and lastly Christmas Holidays!!

3, 2, 1 Action!!!

Last week we went to the Manaikalani Film Festival for 2016. Once we arrived at the movies we had to wait for all the other schools to exit. It was weird not seeing Pt England and Stonefields in our cinema. Instead we had Glenn Innes, Tamaki College and a Maori school called Te Kura Kaupapa Maori. There were so many great films at the movies especially our movie, The Focuser. I thought that all the schools in our cinema did a very good job creating awesome movies.

Mrs Pine's Math Lesson!

A few weeks ago Mrs Pine came in for a maths lesson on statistics. Some students from Rooms 11 and Room 12 had a maths lesson with Mrs Pine and the rest were with Mrs Vickers. We were told to split into four groups. In my group were myself, Marantha, Sione, Athens and Meafou. It was very frustrating because no one in our group knew what to do especially me but I thought they all did a very good job sharing their ideas.
