I Earned My Monitors Badge 📛

It's not that hard looking after a class for 10 minutes while the teacher is gone for lunch. But it is a huge responsibility to keep the classroom in order, and have the students listen to you. Yesterday I received my monitors badge for 2017. I received one last year but that was when I was kind of a beginner, and I was still learning to be a responsible leader and monitor. 
Anyway I'm proud that after 1 year of learning how to be a responsible and successful monitor, I am finally a real one. 

Maths📘

We've started the term off with a lot of Maths! But I really love it! Maths is something I love doing at school although it can get a bit tricky most of the times. These last couple of weeks we've been learning about multiplication and division but now we're onto fractions. Our main focus is to use efficient ways to work out our problems that have been given to us. It doesn't really sound hard and they're not just normal equations.  

Teamwork Leads To Success 📚

This year it's all about Learn, Create and Share! Our class is combined with Room 11, and we're always working together and sharing our ideas with each other when we are learning. We're all preparing and studying for our upcoming tests. Since the year 8 students will  be heading off to college next year there will be more opportunities and challenges to face. Now is the time to set our goals.

Food Tech 🍳

This year the year 7 and 8's have been going to Tamaki College every Wednesday for Technicraft. The subjects the college have are Wood and Cooking. The teacher for Wood is Mr Grundy and for Cooking is Mrs Tuipolotu. I have recently been cooking and we've been making a lot of creative foods. My favourite recipe so far would have to be the quiche because it came out how I wanted it to be and it tasted really good. 

Surrounded By Pests 🐞

All the schools in Manaiakalani Cluster except for us is studying about the waterways. Before we started investigating and researching about pests, we wrote down all our prior knowledge on the KWL Chart. This is actually everything I knew. Not a lot of knowledge.



Now after all the exploring and researching, my knowledge about pests has grown.

Where's Mrs Golder🤔

I came to school, only to see that Mrs Golder wasn't here today. Where is she? Why didn't she come to school? Why was there another teacher here? Many questions were going through my head. Then that's when I possibly knew, Mrs Golder was probably sick today. I have to be honest I really wanted her to come to school! Now we can't take our Chromebook's home! Aarrgghh I really hope she comes tomorrow.
