πŸ–Œ Colour Changing πŸ–Œ

How do colours change? This week our class was working on an experiment. At first I felt I had no hope in completing this experiment, but as we slowly got stuck in to it I was wrong. We started off by cutting out 3 equal circles that was 1cm apart. After,  we had to colour each side with red, green and blue then punch a hole with a nail. Once we had finished we used some wool to thread through the hole. I was so excited once it finished because I could see the different colours in the wheel and it was that simple. The purpose for this experiment was to find out if colours could change, it certainly did.

😞 So Much Running! 😞

For the last few weeks rooms 9,10 and 12 have been concentrating on our cross country. I was really devastated even though people say running is good for you in some ways. As we all started running round and round the block, I felt like I was going to collapse any minute but luckily I didn't. Once it was the last lap I thought I should at least put some effort in and so I did. Finally I had finished running. My legs were so numb and I could hardly breathe. But now I know if I just keep running I will be familiar with the routine and should be fit soon.

πŸ˜„ Orienteering πŸ˜„

Yesterday I attended my first Orienteering. At first it was kind of nerve racking because I didn't know what to do. Once I received my piece of paper and map I quickly ran around looking for attachments. It was kind of hard to concentrate with the cold air blowing upon my face. After running around it started to ease down and I was really tired but I managed to keep going. As I became more familiar with the course it was like a piece of cake. Finally I darted off to Mr Leon and I was so surprised because I came first. I jumped with joy. Once everyone slowly made there way back and calmed down we all sat their patiently waiting. Overall Orienteering was so much fun. Do you love Orienteering?

πŸƒ My Experience At St Kents πŸƒ

I walked into class and noticed on the board that we have St Kents Day! I jumped with joy, it's been nearly 2 years since I last went there, this was my opportunity to go again. Once the bell rang everyone who was invited to come bolted off like a cheetah especially me. I was glad that I had Tupouseini, Vika and Mary to support me. As we walked to the bus like mature students we quickly seated ourselves and off we went. When we arrived we were so happy that we quickly rushed off the bus and waited in our class lines. We had different but fun activities to do. I'm so excited to see what we'll be doing next.

School Begins 😁

I woke up extremely excited to go to school. I actually thought that 2 whole weeks without any learning and no friends was a bit too long. On the way to school I felt a slight chill heading towards me. As I slowly walked closer to class I spotted all my friends, I jumped with joy. As soon as the bell rang everyone walked casually to their daily fitness. I think that my first day back at school was really fun!!

Lights, Camera, Action πŸŽ₯

For the past few weeks a group of students from Rooms 11 and 12 had the chance to create a slide presentation for Te Oro. Only the best students were chosen,

The students who were chosen were those who showed high standard in art and writing. They were myself, Athens, Katrina, Saluselo, Mika, Min Zin, Jack and Maia. For the first few days we spent time organising our ideas so that we knew what we wanted on the slides.

My plan was to create an inforgraphic about four different pests, around our local area. Our main purpose was to  make it interesting, creative and entertaining.

Now there is only one more week to memorise and focus on our learning.

Mrs Pine's Math Lesson!

A few weeks ago Mrs Pine came in for a maths lesson on statistics. Some students from Rooms 11 and Room 12 had a maths lesson with Mrs Pine and the rest were with Mrs Vickers. We were told to split into four groups. In my group were myself, Marantha, Sione, Athens and Meafou. It was very frustrating because no one in our group knew what to do especially me but I thought they all did a very good job sharing their ideas.

Our Syndicate Assembly

Today we hosted the syndicate assembly. We started planning on Friday and practicing on Monday so we only had two days to finish the entire thing. Once we practiced all our scripts we were ready to roll. Everything was running smoothly just like how we rehearsed it. But the thing was not everybody understood our version of Family Feud. When I was counting the total score for each class I was shocked to see Room 9 1st place, followed by Room 10, then Room 12, and  lastly Room 11. Now everyone knows how Room 12 plays Family Feud.
